Gorgeous deep orange sunrise following a stunning sunny day yesterday. Hopefully it will stay beautiful all day today too for an all around epic weekend.

Happy St. Patty’s day. One full of wonder and merriment, Guinness and snow? Oh Seattle how we love your delayed winters and summers. Really, you’re just a couple months begin the rest of the country’s weather patterns.

Today, I’m grateful for the bright green clovers juxtaposed against the massive white snow flakes.

Sadie sleeps a lot. I guess that’s common for cats. When she’s not sleeping, she’s opening closets, yelling, eating, chasing Endo around the house or this. This is her “look at me parents, I’m adorable” pose as she feverishly rolls around on her back rubbing her face. She swishes from one side to the next, over and over until you rub her tummy.

It’s these moments where we find ourselves in love with her, mitigating the guttural yowls she serenades us with much more often. Love you kitteh.

Spun a lot of records today at the house. Loads of good percussion, jazz, The Ventures, The Cure, songs from Mexico and even an eighth of a song off of a French album that deserved the stereotypical movie record scratch it was that bad. Happy to hear a little pop and varying cadence again that only a belt driven music making device with physical media can provide. Sadly though, unlike Pandora, record tracks don’t have a thumbs up button or bookmark functionality that doesn’t require an index card, pen, or label maker. Oh technology.

Georgetown always puts their own spin on things, so it makes sense that they’d do the same when setting up a “mall.” a bunch of old school 5th wheels are set up with their doors open and interiors pretty much removed entirely for the sake of maximizing “retail floor space” within. Nachos were set out with nuclear yellow cheeze for all to enjoy. A dude was playing VJ with a couple video tracks and music from his iPod (Pink Floyd), projecting it HUGE on a neighboring warehouse wall. Some big kid in a speedo was dancing his bum off and shaking it like a Polaroid picture too. Sad about Polaroid by the way. I really ought to do a Polaroid week or something, hitting a number of their films. I digress. Good times on the Art Attack, though, we really didn’t see a lot of art like we tend to in Belltown or Capital Hill. Oh well, we followed the arrow to the mall, and that was worth roaming behind Jules Maes for.

A quick nature hike around Seward Park today revealed some really cool moss growing on a freshly fallen tree.

We went to the BluWater Bistro and got the bakon bloody Mary. Not nearly as awesome as the bacon should be. Bacon is a multiplier generally, making food more awesome. Bakon is like Krab. The C to K replacement must make it krappier.
