This bit of vandalism is one of my favorites in Seattle. Just up in the alley between 1st and 2nd on Lenora, I’ve been waiting for the right day to snap this. Today was that day. If I could be so bold, it was unpossible to get out of bed today with Spun. Totally could have just laid there all day if the cats would have substituted yelling at us to let them out of their room for … I don’t know … making us breakfast in bed or at the very least a French press. We really need to work on their opposable thumb deficiency.
In any case, the photo was snapped with my Photojojo fisheye lens and then tweaked with Photoshop Mobile and an app called Film Lab. It’s pretty amazing to be able to pick the specific film you want your photo to be shot on. This was Kodak Royal Gold 400. I liked how it pulled enough of the yellow/orange out of the bar and substituted the grey concrete with blue. Reminds me of a painting class I was in where I made a big stink about available light in our studio v Monet’s Haystacks. Melissa, you may have been right after all in the final presentation of the piece … even if there really was no ambient blue light. Exquisite paintings by the way on your site. Truly masterpieces.
