Today is the first day of winter and with the solstice comes a very low hanging sun. I was blown away by just how long the shadows were on the Alaskan Way bike path. There are very limited times throughout the year where this is illuminated at all during my commute (thank you daylight savings) so today was a big treat.

Here’s to days getting lighter for longer! I’m going I try and look at today as a super concentrated batch of sunshine prepping me for the longest night of the year. Good thing there’s a going away party to be had to keep it exciting.
